Strawberry lights

To find where emotions are right
You need to look in, to the light
To find how to quiet your mind
You need to believe what you find

But do not believe what you're told
From no one, nor me, or the old
You need to find out for your self
Who you really are and what's next

Don't need no believing, it's true
But sometimes we all need to do
Can something come forth from the past?
And be all desires at last?

Has all been set up from the start?
A plan that was made from the heart?
That what it was really was true?
We just never knew what to do?

Do we really look forward all times?
or looking behind us for signs?
Do we really decide who we are?
or seeing ourselves from afar?

Should we rethink those branded new ways?
Would the journey still head the right place?
Or - shall we see it as strawberry fields?
- Where nothing is said to be real?

Should we see all as part of the deal,
and be able to see it as real?
Or - should we just be drifting apart,
- don't mind about scars and the heart?

Is it faith that will bring us the truth?
Or the voice of the rational youth?

Is there no way to see it as new?
Why is that way too off to be true?

Is it time in itself that's the key?

I don't know and you're not telling me
